Lenovo y-50 touch trouble shooting

I have Lenovo y-50 touch laptop that will not boot up. I can open the computer and turn it on, the keyboard will light up, and then it shuts off 2-3 seconds later. The computer is almost new and has never been dropped or had anything spilled on it, so I'm unsure why it would be doing this. What can I do to fix this problem? Thank you!

How new is it? I ask because if it is still under warranty, then you should really contact the manufacturer about the issue to get it repaired or replaced.

I purchased it new last December, but it has hardly been used. It's sat on a desk most of its life and when I have used it it was to either write school papers or play some online games. How long is lenovos warranty?

I can't say for sure. It depends on the device. Your best bet is to contact them and inquire. And the sooner the better, as if it is say a year, then that would be up soon.
