Lenovo y50 or hp envy 15 ae009tx????

Guys need urgent advice whether to go for a lenovo y50-70 gaming laptop or the hp envy 15-ae009tx. Price range is almost the same but specs for hp are far much better than the lenovo but the only thing pulling me back is that lenovo is 4th gen 6mb cache memory and hp is 5th gen but 4mb cache memory.

Does cache memory play and important role in buying a laptop specially for gaming or is it manageable for next 3 years minimum.

hello there having looked at the y70 it comes in several models starting at 999$ and i couldnt find much info on that HP price wise, now as far as the cache goes i look at it like i do my processors i want to get the latest and greatest if possible i mean figuretively speaking 5 is greater than 4 right? and the 6mb cache will be better than the 4mb cache but if the 4mb cache is cheaper and suits you better get it because it wont be that big of a difference. I dont know what your budget is but if your looking for a great gaming laptop may i suggest the laptop i have? its a MSI-GE62-apache and its currently on sale too

Found the specs for the Envy, but without specs for the specific model Lenovo, kinda hard to make a decision.

Thanks a lot psycrow395. The price for both are same around 1300$. Specs for lenovo y50-70 goes:
4th gen i7 6 mb with 1 tb hdd and 8gb ram with 4 gb nvidia geforce 860m windows 8.1 with jbl surround speakers.
whereas
Hp envy 15ae909tx specs:
5th gen i7 4 mb with 2 tb hdd and 16gb ram with 4 gb nvidia geforce 950m windows 8.1 with bangs and olfusen speakers n subwoofers.

I belive overall specs for hp is better if u say that cache does not really is of very much importance. What say?

The GTX 860m is a better GPU than the GTX 950m. Also, if the i7 in the Lenovo doesn't have a "U" after the 4xxx, it is superior to the CPU in the Envy as well.

Get the Lenovo. Better GPU, and probably better CPU as well.

Hello,u r simply saying dat HP CPU is good.That is a U edition cpu and has only 2 cores with 4 threads nd maximum speed is 3.0 Ghz.The lenovo Y50 has intel i7-4710HQ which is a true quad core processor with 8 threads and its maximum speed is 3.5 Ghz nd comes with 6MB cache.Its way way way way better than i7-5500u in hp which is low voltage cpu.HP has gtx 950m gpu which is ddr3 while lenovo one has 860m along with GDDR5 memory.You just check the benchmark online.U don't know anything about computer at all.GTX 860m is a beast compared to gtx 950m.But HP one is more energy efficient thanks to its low voltage processor and 14nm lithography.Also gtx 950m is more efficient than gtx 860m.

Can't tell which posts you are replying to without quoting them. But you are right, the Lenovo is better.

yes ofcourse the lenovo y50 is better for gaming but just better believe me ,i own a the hp one its really goood, as far as gpu is concerned y50 has ddr5 but 2gb and hp has dd3 ram but 4gb dedicated memory and as an addon there is 16 gb of ram, it is much more sleek and good looking than the y50 one,better sound, i get 60 fps 0n fifa 15 and nfs mw 2012,45 fps on crysis and about the same on far cry 4,but laptop gets crazily hot ,cooling pad is a must and that tooo 2000 rpm one,the y50 in gaming is just better than hp in final its your choice ,consider our opinion
