Hi, i was looking for a good gaming laptop that would be able to play recent games at medium or high settings and have recently purchased the lenovo y50-70 59440643 for 899$ on the lenovo website.

This was about a month an a half ago and the laptop has yet to get shipped.

As i'm getting impatient a saw the ASUS ROG for 1899$
(i've left the link to the deal here in case someone else is interested)

https://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-asus-173-gaming-laptop-with-intel-core-i7-4700hq-processor

and was wondering wether it is worth ,performance-wise, the difference in price?

Please help i honestly know nothing of laptop specs

Lenovo y50:
-4th Generation Intel Core i7-4720HQ Processor (2.60GHz 1600MHz 6MB)
-NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 2GB
-8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3L 1600 MHz
-Hybrid 1TB 5400 RPM+8GB SSHD

Asus ROG:
Product number: G750JZ-DB73-CA
17.3” Full HD display
2.4GHz Intel Core i7-4700HQ processor
Nvidia GTX 880M GPU with 4G GDDR5 VRAM
24GB RAM
256GB SSD with 1TB HDD

I'd go for the ROG. SSD For good boot times and enough space for windows+a big game. The GPU is good and the CPU should be fine. The 2 GB of ram on the 860M doesn't seem very future proof at all. Personally if you have the money I'd go for the ROG. If you are on a strict budget the y50 would be ok for some gaming. The ROG just plain has better specs.
