LenovoT460Laptoop shut down-no restart or pwr lite. Tried lots of recos.

Died while idle on a website. Tried all bat disconnects, pinhole and start key presses. No power light with plugin. Two yr old, lightly used T460. Grrr

Try power alone by removng the battery. I hope that pinhole wasnt your microphone, especially if you poked with a pin.

Thanks for the reco. Tried a plugin only restart, no battery restart(external bat removed, internal unplugged). Lenovo's have a small pinhole CMOS bat reset hole underneath. Even temporarily removed CMOS battery plug to have a completely cold restart. Strange there is now no indication of AC connection(red light on top) when plugged in as before. Tried a separate plugin from another similar pc- nada.

Bad news, indeed. With luck you have a fixer in your area who can get it going again. In my part of England, the market stalls are the place to find them because the overhead costs are far less than a shop.

I hope you can find one.
