"Lens Error" "will shut down automatically" "restart camera" on Canon Power Shot SX230".......I researched online and none of the solutions helped. I just would like to know if anyone who has had this problem spent the $99 to repair their camera and did it take care of the problem? Has it happened again? Should I just put that $99 towards a new camera?
Thanks for your reply kate20. I decided to send my camera to Canon for service and I have already received it back in perfect working condition! It only took about one week from the time I sent it until the time I got it back. So far so good; I have not had any more problems with it! They told me I had probably gotten some dirt in between the lens and the cover and I had probably used it when it was windy....just the tiniest speck could cause the error message. Thanks again.
