Sorry, but I didn't miss the sentence at all. My comments were addressed to those calling her claim excessive. How can $2500 be considered excessive? The fact she's asking the same for others is to be sure all affected are treated equally. Sounds like the American way to me.

The only problem I have with kids being raised by gays and lesbians has nothing to do with the parents... Its the other kids, lets face it being a kid is tough enough these days but I can only imagine the pain some evil kid could cause if he found out Johny's parents where Bob and Neal... Imagine being picked on by some ass hat for years on end... Kid's gonna grow up messed up no matter how good the parents are.

I only worry about the kids in these things the parents make there own choices and can handle the consequences, but spilling over on to some one who has done nothing to earn it is a bit unfair to them.

Really? The polls don't seem to reflect that statement. Yes, people are more stubborn about giving up the word "marriage," but otherwise the public is in favor of gay rights (protection from discrimination, civil unions with the same rights as marriage, etc).

Besides, no one on our side is forcing anything on you. You don't have to get gay-married or have gay sex if you don't want to.

And I am doing something useful with my life. It's called getting an education and working for a masters degree. Perhaps you should try getting an education sometime and not live under a rock.

This is a pretty stupid lawsuit. She's suing over the "potential" she could be outed. Except that her lawsuit itself has done far, far more in "outing" her than Netflix could have done if they tried intentionally.

A lawsuit has to be about an actual damage. The woman may not realize it, but the real issue is that there is essentially no way to make this type of information anonymous, what means that all of the privacy policies that say they won't release identifiable
information should be legally defined as meaning that no information will be released except as required for a specific transaction, which
kills all targeted ads based on such information.

While the Netflix challenge seems like an innocent use, unfortunately
made too much information available to too many entities. (And likely a solution requires the release of too much information unless
it is transformed into an encrypted calculation.)
