I have a LG 49LF5400 and now have a LG Sound Bar LAS350B. I just found out thru LG that my TV does not have a audio out. I really want to connect the two. What do I need...converter? switch box? AV receiver? Need suggestions, please.
If you use the TV as a display for external sources (ie cable box or disc player) then you can add a switch and connect them directly to the sound bar for audio. The only way to get audio from the TV itself would be to modify the TV. You would need to disconnect the wires going to the internal speakers and connect them to a speaker to line level adapter like this one http/www.crutchfield.com/p_142LOC80/Scosche-LOC80.html
That would connect to either a bluetooth transmitter or a analog to digital converter since your sound bar doesn't have an analog aux input (only bluetooth or optical...
