logitech g430 headset not working with sound card

When I use the logitech g430 headset with the included sound card i do not hear audio and the microphone does not work. I would appreciate some solutions. Thanks.

turn off the speakers then

did you click on the sound icon in the lower right of windows and right click for the menu select playback devices and is the wireless head set detected and if so is it set as the default audio device? for recording you might have to do the same except select recording device in the right click menu instead of playback. i have no idea how many sound inputs you are using so i threw that in.

It detects the headset and I set it as the default device but there's still no audio and the mic doesn't work.
