I have a logitech Z506 pc speaker system, but after connecting it I only get audio from the front right speaker - the other four play only static.
It's a 5.1 channel system plugged in to the onboard audio ASUS Sabertooth Z97 mkII motherboard.
Things I have tried:
Updating realtek HD audio drivers - no effect
Different speakers (connected an older logitech system, same issue) - this has led me to conclude that it's a settings problem somewhere.
Playing around with the audio balance levels. I can mute the other speakers (so that the static does not induce insanity), but cannot get them to produce sound.
A similar issue was reported here:
http/www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2659586/logitech-z506-front-speaker-playing-sound.html
But in that thread the speakers were a few years old; mine are new.
Any help would be appreciated.
