As in the title, I'm in need of an ultrabook, preferable 14 inches but everything around is also ok.
I need it mostly for IT studies, so I guess that some 2c/4t i5 + Intel HD and 8 GB of ram is just about what i need.

- non-glare screen is absolute
- 1Gb LAN is also necessary
- NO touchscreen, except if it has built-in pen
- I'd like it to have no OS, I have whatever Windows I want from my university, also I'm rather gonna use it with Linux
- keyboard with no numpad and bigger "normal" part instead would be perfect, didn't see many of those though
- preferable 900 / 1080p IPS screen, but if all other parts are cool - I guess I can stand TN if it's not the worst one. (Replacing screen with a better one is also an option, but I'd rather like to avoid this one because of warranty loss.)
- 6hrs+ (the more the better) battery life (browsing web, code writing, etc)
(and by 6hrs I mean truly 6 hrs, not just in some synthetic test sponsored by it's producer)
- removable battery (it might be attached with screws or whatever, just an option to remove it without taking apart whole device is ok)
- 4 or 8 GB RAM - I can put another 4 on my own
- 128 GB SSD or whatever HDD - I can replace it with SSD on my own
- as in description on the top, i5 4210U (? not really sure about it's performance, but does not look this bad) or higher

The budget is up to 1000 EUR, but I'd rather pick one with HDD and 4 GB RAM and just replace it by myself because it looks like cheaper solution.
I'd like to avoid Samsung and Lenovo. I had an opportunity to repair some of those and... ughh... Also, Lenovo has TERRIBLE warranty system. (at least in my country) Just nope. Maybe it's bad luck of mine, anyway I'm not gonna buy them.

For my picks there are Tecra Z40 and Inspiron 14 7000, but I could not find fitting configurations in those series (ie, in Tecra Z50 series you have to buy an OS + i7 + 256 GB SSD to get better screen variant, because... because yes). Also, heard bad things about Tecra's display (except Z50's 1080p IPS variant) and keyboard.

The more matching or ones close to match You can list, the better. Availability might be a slight problem in here, I hope it won't.

Greetings ;)

It has no RJ-45 and screen is glossy, but still that's a very good pick. I definitely consider it, I'll also take a look at mentioned acer series when I'll have some spare time.

UPDATE: Did a little research by myself, what can You say about asus pro b451ja? Couldn't find any review. I bet that i7 4710MQ lasts for 2 hrs on battery, but there's also an i5 M option.

NEXT UPDATE: Asus claims that even with 4710MQ it can run up to 6.5 hrs. This probably means ~3.5-4hrs in reality. But... you can insert additional battery instead of cd-rom drive, that is similar capacity to built-in one. So it would be at least 6 hrs of work. I'm not saying about full load of course, but it does look as some great option. Also, I can buy it with no OS (Instead of it I can buy ie. an SSD), what is rare in business series. The price is also great, at least for this performance class. I can't say I'm not hyped. Would be great if You could take a more professional look at this one and say what I'm missing, because it looks just too fine for me.
