Unfortunately no, the Sennheiser 350s mic is not removable, but the HyperX Clouds mic can be removed. I wouldnt recommend Razer because of their static/buzzing issues and Synapse problems, well thats up to you to go for Razer or not.

For your purposes Sennheisers are the way to go.

I found a upgraded version of the one Vembutech listed its also discontinued like his too :

http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Special-Performance-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B008O510Y8/ref=sr_1_1?

Another solid headset option would be the Kingston HyperX Cloud:

http://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-Gaming-Headset-KHX-H3CL/dp/B00JJNQG98/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1422286483&sr=8-1&keywords=hyperx&pebp=1422286490731&peasin=B00JJNQG98

Go for Sennheisers preferably because of their sound, but like I said the HyperX Cloud is a solid option.

Hope this helps!
