I am looking for a laptop for programming in visual studio.

Consider that in laptop that cost 500$ and have 1 TB HDD I am willing to wear 256 ssd on it (cost 70-80 $),so the cost of all of them will be the same (30 $ up/down)

If you have another laptop in mind that meets my requirements about 500-550$ I am willing to check your recommentadion

That VivoBook looks impressive (for that price), and I would rather get it with SSD, and add HDD later on if needed.
