Hello! I am going into Computer Science in the fall, but all I have is my large desktop (AMD Phenom II X6 1055T, GTX570, 8GB ram). To conserve space and have mobility I was looking to purchase a Laptop (If I sell my Desktop, It would be next to nothing, so Ill keep it for now). My only problem is I'm unsure of how much computing power I will need for my program (And possibly some light gaming like CS:GO on low/medium if possible, if not whatever). I was looking at the ThinkPad T450s and the ASUS GL551JM, but I would love to hear another opinion before I buy anything. Thanks!!!

The thinkpad is a good choice if you don't mind the limited gaming power. The asus is more gaming oriented and will give you better fps.

Personally I would go with either the asus n series, thinkpad t series as they have one of the best keyboards for win laptops or barebone laptops like the sagar. The gpu won't be important for you as all the tasks you do will be dependant on the cpu.
