Looking for a solution in fps drop problem

Hello people two days ago I started experiencing fps drops on all of the game that I am playing. My PC is 2 years old Intel core i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz. Usually when I play my games the fps is at consistent 60 fps or 100 fps and does not drop below 40 fps but in the past two days it started to drop to like 10-30 fps . The CPU-Z says that my current ghz is 1599.63MHz but when i tried to play it rises to 3.3 or close to 3.20 ghz is my cpu underclocked or there are other factors that might be responsible for the fps drop. I have been using my PC for two years and this is the first time it happened. So far fps drop is the only disturbance I experience.
