Looking for Gaming Headset

Been about a year since I've purchased my Playstation 4 and the iphone earbuds just aren't cutting it anymore. So I'd like to ask you guys if there are any headsets out there that you highly recommend.

Games
- Battlefield 4
- Diablo 3 RoS
- Grand Theft Auto 5 when it's released

I don't really have a budget seeing as the highest priced ones that weren't all decorated with some crap like call of duty an overpriced are at the highest $300-$400 But I just want to spend the money on a quality one with 7.1 Surround that supports Optical. I actually prefer wired instead of wireless as well.

Only one's I've seen interest me so far are the A-40 w/mix-amp but those are $249.99 an I'm not sure if they are worth that price. Would like someone's opinion on that as well. Thank You!

i dont think they are 7.1 but they are really good headsets

So what i would go with is the Astro A40s, Steelseries Elite Prism, and one of the Sennheisers varying on your budget.
