looking for help in hooking up suboofer

I have a Sony std550hd receiver. I am trying to set up my subwoofer. There are two wires coming off the speaker but only one plug in port on the receiver. Not sure on how to hook this speaker up. Can you help

Is the woofer 'active' i.e is it powered? Can you put up the model of it?
