Looking for repair advice for Samsung TV with 1 red vertical line.

I have a Samsung TV, model un60d6000sfxza and when I turn it on I get a red vertical line on left side of the screen (when facing TV). I am trying to diagnose the problem whether it is the display or a card feeding the display. Can you give me any assistance?

Try wiggling the display cable on both ends. If that doesn't work try putting pressure above or below the line at the top or bottom of the screen

When you say display cable, are you saying an internal cable?

No the one feeding the monitor signal. Sometimes a pin can get a bad connection and cause it. I suspect you'll need the pressure thing tho

There are no cables connected. With no input the red (Dotted) line which is about 8 inch from the left hand side. I tried pressing on the front of the screen top and bottom where the line is with no difference.

My Samsung screen just developed the vertical red line. In my search for a solution I came across the recommendation made by Supahos above - to squeeze the screen at the top terminus of the line. Bingo - worked like a charm No more line. Many thanks. Supahos
