Hello all,

So, my dad's friends from Brazil are here in the states for a few weeks, and they want to buy a tablet while they're here. So naturally it's my task to find the perfect one that fits their needs, which are...

1). Ability to run Microsoft Office.
2). Built-in 3G/4G (AT&T I suppose, since it's GSM).
3). Ability to connect to VGA projector.

Any ideas?

As of right now, I'd go with the iPad 2, because at least it fulfills #2 and #3, but what about a windows tablet with a mobile hotspot? Would it be capable of outputting to VGA? Most tablets can't, right?

Any insights would be great, thanks!

Samsung Slate has HDMI output. So you could get an adapter to hookup with a projector - HDMI/DVI/VGA - what ever the projector needs.

The WiFi only 64GB version of the Slate is going for $1069

A new Windows Tablet from Toshiba is out (WT200) I'm not sure for your #2 !

#3 : Micro HDMI.

But how would I convert HDMI to VGA? I thought that wasn't possible since HDMI is digital and VGA is analog?
