M audio 2496

Hi guy's I have just bought a M audio 2496 Delta series sound card to use for playback only for now,
but can't find a programme to use as an EQ because the audio coming from it is muffled or not performing as well as it should/could, I have tried to use Savihost as a EQ but it will not successfully extract to my C/drive??
I know this is a good sound card but cannot work this out?? what's new with me and P.C's!!!

Did you check all the sound levels? There can be a few, regular Windows, the line controls for each output on the card, speakers.

Hi, Yes I tried to use Media player's EQ but again the sound is being clipped evn when I've been into the cards line levels and checked to make sure they were at an operable level?? thanks for your input.
