make speakers work on yamaha keyboard

I have a yamaha keyboard. the speakers have suddenly stopped working?
i have tried wiring in identical speakers that do work and they do not work either so i am wondering whether there is an issue with the motherboard??

Try your speakers via another sound source.

If your speakers work elsewhere then the problem is likely to be with the Yamaha keyboard.

Does the keyboard have a headphone jack? Does it work. If so then the amp that drives the internal speakers may be bad.
Does the keyboard have a line level output? If you can connect powered speakers there that will also tell you if the amplifier that drives the internal speakers is bad or if something further up the signal path is bad.

the headphone jack does work - i will try the line out through a mixer and external speakers and see if i get any signal/audio.
