I have a DP870 Digital Processor and an SR770 AVR connected through RC-5. The remote enables me to power off/on both at the same time. The remote is primarily for the SR770 but I was wondering if there was any way to use it to select the inputs on the DP870.

Any advice appreciated.

The SR770 remote will not change inputs on the processor. The power commands are the same because they knew you would be turning them both on at the same time.
If you need to consolidate both remotes a programmable universal remote (Logitech, URC, RTI) would work. Marantz used to have their RC2000 to do this. Very very high tech at that time.

Used ones go for about $30 on ebay. They go through batteries so you will need rechargables.
