Media Access Key NOT appearing on TiVo box!!!

Here is my situation,

Got the 7.1 update about 2 days ago. MAK appears on my TiVo To Go just
fine. When I go to Media Access Key on TiVo box itself it states
"Temporarily not Available". I have called TiVo tech support (3) times.
The only thing they could tell me is to force a connection (2) times in a
row and then Restart the Tivo, do this over and over and over again until it
appears. Come on they can't be serious!!! I have tried this technique
several times and nothing. Getting pretty irratated. Has anyone else had
this problem. Is there a real FIX???

Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Are you *sure* you've successfully reconnected to Tivo? Several of us
had this error right after the upgrade, but a simple manual "Connect to
Tivo" fixed the problem.

Of course I'm sure, my TiVo is connected via Wired network and I connect to
the tivo service SUCCESSFULLY every single time. I just can't figure this
one out. The thing that really pisses me off is the fact that the TiVo tech
support can't figure this one out. You know what if they don't know what's
going on they should all get fired!

Go into your accountg on TiVo's site. Are transfers enabled for the
unit? If not, you won't get a MAK. This is the same toggle as for
MRV.

If it isn't on, turn it on and have your unit connect. That should do
it.

If it is on already, turn it off for all of your units. Have them
connect to make sure they're all off. Now turn them all on and
connect again. The off/on routine seems to help unstick some units
that don't pick up the MAK.

Your suggestion makes excellent sense. Heres where I am at right now:

-Turned OFF "Transfers Allowed"
-Forced a connection to TiVo
-Turned ON "Transfers Allowed"
-Forced a connection to Tivo

Now my "Media Access Key" choice doesn't even appear under "System
Information" anymore. Tried rebooting TiVo but nothing yet. Will keep
trying!
