Media server.... questions

Alright, I'm pretty new when it comes to non-computer electronics. I'm looking for a media player that I can transfer music/movies to wirelessly from my computer from my own home network. But I want it to have a remote and be able to organize some how.

I know I'm picky, but I appreciate all the help!

you could run a HTPC with media center and the windows media center remote control.

you could store all of your movies on your own pc if you leave it on always... or on a nas and use a ps3/xb360/sony media player or basically any of the streaming players which support A) the file types you want to play and B) can browse a nas. the reason i suggested htpc is because it can play all file types.
