Mic isn't recognized in Windows

I plugged my headset into my laptop but the mic is not functional. I tried right clicking the speaker icon and and everything is enabled. I've also tried different headsets and have the same problem.

I uninstalled the drive but don't know how to reinstall. I also went from win 8.1 to win 10 with no success. Can someone please help me?

EDIT: 1 headset is 3.5 mm to 2.5, mm jacks. The other is just 1 2.5 jack.

Hi,

Does you laptop have two port meaning for the sound and one for the microphone?
- To reinstall the driver back into you laptop just reboot after uninstalling it and it should reinstall the driver automatically but if it doesn't you can download and install the driver from the manufacturers site.
- Also right click on the speaker icon again and select Recording devices.
- Check if the microphone is set as default. If there are 2 mic listed try setting the other mic as the default then test it once again.
