Microphone has playback, but no registered sound?

I've had my PC for a couple of years now, with no problems regarding the microphone. Up until this point everything was fine until a couple of days ago. I noticed that my microphone would be rather inconsistent. Sometimes it would cut my voice and then pick it up again all the time, like in waves. Then the next day, it didn't work anymore.

What i have tried to do:

• 
  Tested the microphone on other devices (it works)
  Set microphone to default in sound
  Uninstalled microphone driver, resetting PC and reinstalling driver
  Use the front panel instead of back to plug in mic

Other info:

• 
  I still got playback from microphone
  Windows does recognize that i have put a microphone into the panel
  I got windows 10

Any help appreciated!

From another post, solved by Seyed22Shaheen :

Windows Settings(Start+I) ---> Privacy ---> Microphone ---> Check "Let apps use my microphone" and turn on microphone for each individual apps.
