Microphone making static noise?

My microphone is literally making a static noise . I can hear it coming out of the physical microphone like its a speaker. I got home from vacation and i heard the noise and i couldn't figure it out also when i record a voice memo theirs just ambient static then my voice on top. i dont know whats wrong!

That's likely some sort of interference from other components in your computer or next to your microphone/cable. Try moving nearby electronics that may cause interference around and see if that helps.
