Microphone Output Issues

Hey Everyone,

I use a Razer Kraken Pro headset and have been for about a year. For just as long I've had a Logitech G110 keyboard. I plug my headphone and mic inputs into the keyboard and the sound is carried through keyboard's USB cable. Haven't had issues.

This past week I bought a Blackwidow keyboard by Razer since I've always wanted to try a mechanic keyboard. When I plugged in its audio cable and then plugged my headset into the keyboard I was getting a lot of static and electronic feedback. When I moved my mouse I was getting EMF as well. I tried plugging it directly into my computers front audios jacks and primary audio jacks on the back.

I updated my sound drivers (realtek HD audio) and tried plugging into the front and back again. Front sounded better in my headset (sounds less far away and more normal quality). My microphone, however, is registering little to no sound when I talk. I can hit it, tap it or breath into it heavily for some sound to register but nothing from standard talking.

I figured the issue might lie in faulty wiring in my MB and the audio signal not coming through. I bought an audio to USB adapter from logitech thinking it might be a simple fix. I'm facing the same scenario now. Sound coming into my headset is fine but there's no sound registering in my mic when I talk. I tried multiple USB ports.

Please note that in every instance/attempt I went into control panel, setting, etc and made sure everything was set properly.

For now I've just plugged back in my old keyboard so I can use Mumble, etc. I'd like to be able to use my new keyboard along with my headset though. Any ideas on what might be the issue?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The Logitech has a built in USB soundcard which you were connecting the headset to. The razer doesnt have this and is passing thru your pc's soundcards audio/mic.

First you need to readjust your windows settings for the headset with the onboard audio. If you still have problems let us know and include your systems specs, esp the case make and model#.
