Finally, someone who's on my level.

By the way, i have a PS Move and I really like it. Regardless of all the nitpicking regarding features etc, its still a really fun thing, as is Kinect. Still, PC gaming will always be best.

Some things the article and some people don't seem to get.

1 - NO, the 360-Kinetic bundle is not $100 cheaper. Both sell for $400. Yes, there is the HD-LESS 360 bundle... which tends to suck. So guess WHAT happens to the novice buyer? He has to spend $130 for the 360-S 250GB hard drive.... oops, thats $430. In order to play some games in multi-player, the HD is required.

2 - The PS3 bundle includes a 320GB HD vs. 250GB from the 360 (okay, lame difference)

3 - "The PS3 move is more complicated"?! I guess if its hard to walk and talk at the same time - sure. Uh, what bout the wii?

Wii = Console, standard controller, Wii-bar (sensor), and optional Wii Navigator = 4 big parts, 5 if you include the power brick. There is also optional standard joy-pad too.

360-S/K = Console, Standard controller, Kinect and a power brick = 4 parts.

PS3-Move = Console, standard controller, EYE (Sensor), Move Controller, optional Navigator = 5 parts.

So the PS3 has no more extra parts over a wii... other than having a joypad as the main controller.

4 - Kinect is horrible for accuracy and lag... it may never get too advanced as its DOES require some resources from the 360 itself. Kinect cannot SEE FINGERS. Its hands, arm, head, body, leg, etc... Shooting games and driving games plain SUCK for Kinect. But Kinect still has its place and does allow for certain games.

5 - PS3 move is more advanced than Wii's system, its more accurate.

6 - 360's Kinect requires quite a bit of space. It'd be useless in my living room, how many people have found this out afterwards?

If anything I'd say that this is a good point for the Sony Gamer. Kinect has shown very clearly that it intends to be a kiddie/Wii platform. And yes those sell well, I'm greatful that the Move has set forth from the gate that they intend to be for the core gamer. It may not sell as much in the short term, but I do see Sony as staying true to their roots.

Honestly I think the move just looks too much like a Wiimote/nunchuck combo. Anyone who has a Wii probably sees the move and thinks, I already have that...

I'm not saying the move is any better/worse than the Kinect, just that it looks too much like a product pretty much everyone has in their home already.

I haven't even seen one marketing commercial from Sony, but kinect..its like every other channel has a commercial on. Then you have tv shows placing them in the camera view as a "gift." Come on, the Sony will have its time after people realize what they bought is not nearly as far technologically advance as the move.

Incorrect. The Kinect bundle is $300 for the lower Slim bundle. Guess what? It has a 4 GB hard drive in it, and you can play games online. Since the average casual gamer is most likely not going to be downloading tons of stuff from the Marketplace, 4 GB is more than enough for game saves.

Also, I would point out that the Kinect 250 GB bundle is a straight $400 for up to two players. The Move bundle only includes the eye and the Move remote. It does not include the navigation remote. So it is really $430 to get it full capabilities for 1 player, or $510 to get full capabilities for 2 players. That is a $110 more than the 250 GB Kinect Bundle and $210 more than the 4 GB Kinect bundle.

3 - "The PS3 move is more complicated"?! I guess if its hard to walk and talk at the same time - sure. Uh, what bout the wii?

I disagree with your method of comparing the systems. For one, as large as the brick is, it is still not like some insurmountable part of the 360. You plug it in the wall like the Wii and the PS3. Also, if you negate the standard controllers and do a Kinect vs Move comparison, it is really 2 vs 4 parts or really 1 vs 3 since the console and the power cords are givens to everyone. This increases to 1 vs 5 parts if you have 2 players involved.

Obviously, the Wii and the Move are the same as far as complication.

Microsoft has made it pretty clear since before the Kinect came out that you need several feet. It is also common sense. You are moving around for crying out loud – that is why people are buying it!

Lastly, I am not advocating one system over another. They all are similar but have separate niches: The Wii is the cheapest starting out and has more motion games and the Nintendo library; the Move is more precise and more geared towards hardcore gamers; the Kinect is new and different and uses your whole body. To each his own...

Come on, the Sony

The Kinect is far more technologically advanced than the Move. More Precision does not equal more advanced... my gosh my gyroscopic mouse is more advanced and more precise than the Move for crying out loud, and it has been out a few years....

If you like having a remote and the precision of the Move, that's cool. Just don't say something like the Move is far more technologically advanced than the Kinect.

Unfortunately the key to everything is Marketing. Nintendo's Wii was already successful, year's ago, so it had it's time. Sony's Move has a camera and a controller, however, the marketing wasn't as great as Microsoft's. Which is what put Microsoft ahead. So Microsoft was brilliant when it comes to the "You are the controller" campaign. Kudos to Microsot. However, when it comes to Kinect, it's one of those things that when you buy it you're like "WOW, this is cool!" Then 6 months later, you're like, "Dude, where's the Kinect....oh yeah...it's in the closet...next to the Wii...."

This is just for US sales figures in Europe and Japan the Xbox 360 is last and will continue to be so.

For one I'm happy that there aren't many annoying American buying the PS3, It gives them there own console and that's the way the rest of the world like it.
