Hello,
I have microsoft office 2007 installed on 2 home computers, one with Windows Vista Premium and one with Windows 7 Home Premium. On Windows Vista when I open Word I get a blank page and on Windows 7 my page has line numbers. I can manually remove it for the page but can't set a default so it does not reappear.According to the help center on the task bar the page numbers are automatic so why do I not have them on Vista unless I manually turn them on?

You are getting this issue because the Word template has been modified.

Rename/Delete the Normal.dot from the below file path and it will fix the issue. The Normal.dot will be recreated once you launch the Word Application.

File path : C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates
