Office is a mature product. Most commercial users want reliability and stability in a product - not so much cutting-edge. Start tinkering with familiar stuffs (aka-windows 8) and users will cry WTF. It's not as if every office worker goes to some sort of training every other week.

Office 2010 was such a popular software suite its sad to see how Office 2013 and Office 365 are doing by comparison. Go read the reviews on Amazon and NewEgg and others. Office 2013 is just as popular as Windows 8. When Office 2013 came out MS stopped producing Office 2010, so unlike Windows customers, Office customers can't just buy the older more popular version. Office 2013 & 365 makes it very hard for resellers to install it and offer to their customer so most are now recommending free options instead of offering 2013 or Office 365. Where once it was the 1st option customers were given now its the 3rd or 4th or not offered at all any more. Why does Steve still have his job he should be fired!

I just think a PhD in economics is funny. They obviously were not a good economics student or else they would have realized the cost benefit curve of a PhD in economics is not worth it.

This past spring I seen the horror show coming. I went into a panic; trying to get a "new" multi-license copy of 2010 on disc. I was scammed once and sold 2013, but paypal got me refunded and I did find an online store that still had a copy on disc!
