if they were going to bring maps back why not at least let the fans vote on it?? I like crash and overgrown is alright and then vacant is cool and strike is a good map but i wanted bog and ambush at least to me those were the best 2 maps on mw1. 15 bucks is ridiculous but i will buy it so i'm not going to complain.

$30 an hour for 6 weeks of work I'm betting (per map), so about $7200 per artist based on 8 hour days, 5 days a week. Maybe some stock options for working at the company. We're talking trivial amounts compared to the profit margin. The interest on the profit could probably pay the artists salaries.

Be careful: it has rendered the game completely unplayable. Upon signing in to Modern Warfare 2, players will be prompted to download an update whether or not they actually wasted their money on the Stimulus Package DLC in the Marketplace yet. This update will (or is supposed to) make the map pack download link visible on the game itself and put the new maps into the playlists. Instead, nothing happens. When you try to actually play a game of Modern Warfare 2 online, you will see this message: "Error: Communication with the Xbox Live servers has been interrupted."

I hope they're getting paid more than $30/hr. I always thought that programmers at successful game companies must make around $100k / year. Maybe its $30/hr with a lot of (attractively priced) stock options.

what the, thats $30 for 2 map packs, thats the price of a decent game already, and it doesnt even offer any new feature. anyway i dont play this game anymore, its bfbc2 for me.

in mw2, i lag so much, but bfbc2 is very playable even for my crappy isp, thanks to the dedicated server which is very convenient.

I remember when maps and mods where given away for free as part of patchs, some of which created my the community others created by the dev team. Arr the good old days.

Way to rape your "fans" there Activision. What next, 20 bucks a pack? 25? Full price of a new game? Sigh. Its pretty sad, but you know people will be eating it up like candy. I really wish Activison would die, but unfortunately that would mean Blizzard would go away too, seeing as they're fused at the hip now. I still regret the day they decided to merge with those assholes. And I still cant believe Bungie signed up for a 10 year deal with them as well. Sad day ahead of us all indeed.

hey guys i don't own a ps3 because i hate their network. but i do play mw2 on both the 360 and ps3...FOUND OUT IF YOU KNOW A FRIEND WHO HAS THE NEW STIMULUS PACKAGE, YOU COULD DWLD IT FOR FREE BY RETRIEVING YOUR FRIENDS PROFILE ON YOUR OWN PS3 SYSTEM AND REDOWNLD THE CONTENT!!! JUS DID IT ON MY FRIEND'S PS3 USING MY COUSIN'S PROFILE LAST WEEK!!! But I like playing the exclusive shooter games on the 360 much more than just one game on the PS3...still love the Halo franchise and Gears!!! SPREAD THE WORD, CHEERS!

Your better off to play Cod4 than MW-2 all the hacking going on ye cant play a decent game anymore,even in the new pack`s there hacking,we must all go back too COD-4 - BFBC2.

CoD MW2 keeps me from going out as often and spending lots of money so I'm okay with dropping $15 for the maps. I also didn't have CoD MW1 so they're all new to me.

it makes me angry, but that's life. I bought the first DLC and it was cool, but there's too many good games out right now to spend another $15 on a game that's already fun enough to play. I spent my "resurgence" money on red dead redemption. Whatever the haters say MW2 is a masterpiece, and it peaked with the release of stimulus. All the maps you'd ever need to play whatever style of combat you're into at the moment. If there even is a MW3, it will not do as well, because you can't make the sistine chapel anymore beautiful.
