Hello,
I have Bose lifestyle surround system.
Bose receiver gave up on me.
All speakers and sub is fine. I bought Sony 5.1 channel receiver.
My problem is receiver requires Monaural audio cord from sub to back of receiver.
Sub does not have that kind of connection. It has plug with pins inside (some of computers use this kind of connecting plug)
Is there anything I can use to make it compatible for connection??
By the way receiver brochure shoes all speakers connected to it
but my system all connection goes to sub and single connection from sub goes to Receiver.
Would it work??
sub is self powered.
Thanks

Bose sub has a proprietary connector, to discourage you from hooking it up to standard audio equipment.
You might be able to order the schematic from Bose.
You can open the sub and solder in standard connectors, or have an audio tech do it for you.
There is no standard adapter.
From now on, avoid buying equipment that uses proprietary connectors.
