Motherboard upgrade asus

Hi. I have an asus x54h laptop with x54ly motherboard and intel celeron b800 1.5ghz dual core and I was thinking of upgrade my current motherboard to k53sv motherboard. What I would like to know is: is it worth upgrading it and how do I know it is compatible with my model x54h? What should I pay attention to if I want to upgrade a motherboard in a laptop? Thanks in advance!

Cleanup the drive ... sell the laptop ... buy a better one.

Laptop repairs and upgrades to the mobo are a nightmare.

Which kinds of troubles?
I'm looking to upgrade an x551 with a 2117u cpu / 4Gb on-board ram only motherboard motherboard (soldered ram chips with no slots, i.e. not upgradable ram), to a better i3-3217 / ram slotted mboard. I think the change is possible, wy not?: Asus was make x551 series (c, ca, ma, mav) with various models of cpu/ram sets, with the same case, kboard, battery/ac supply, screen, i/o sockets etc. Where is the problem?
