Moving Stored photos from device to SD card

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with 64GB of device storage all nearly used up. It is running slowly. Most of the storage is taken up with photos but I can't get them to move to an SD card. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance!

Not sure if it's still true but some apps may need permission to access the SD card. You may be able to configure it to automatically save pictures to the SD card.
