MSI GP72 2QE what are the chances I could upgrade to 32GB?

I'm strongly considering this laptop - or another MSI, however most of them say "max. 16GB RAM".. but for me one of the biggest considerations if upgrading to 32GB.

So what are the chances this laptop would work if I installed 2 16GB SODIMMs ?

Open it up and see how many slots there are, if 4 then yes but if 2 then no.

ah, so it is rare for devices to support 16GB SODIMM modules ? unless they explicity say something like 32GB supported in the specs (and have 2 slots)?

DDR3 is incapable of supporting 16GB dimms, only DDR4 can get up to 16GB dimms.
