MSI GT70 Microphone input problem

Hello I recently purchased my Msi Gt:70 dominator laptop
Specs are
Intel i7-4810
Gtx 870 3gb
8gb ram

My microphone input volume is very low people say that I sound like I'm talking from so far away
I don't even know if I'm using the mainstream Mic currently or the integrated Mic..
Any help would be appreciated

Buddy i have a msi gt60 same specifications as yours (except cpu 4800mq).
I was also having the same issues as your even if the gain was turned up to 30db and microphone volume to 100%.

How i solved it.
I went to MSI site installed the latest bets drivers for windows 8 and voila the problem was solved.
Current version is:
Realtek: 6.0.1.7040

let me tell you what a genius you are!
the solution is so simple yet no one thought of it!
i even downloaded the driver from realtek and didn't work out
once i downloaded the one in msi driver page , sound is crystal clear and loud!

Ohh omg thanks so much . Although I got it fixed. But thanks for the quick reply . I don't know how but my brother somehow fixed the mic issues. Again in have no idea what he did

Sorry if this is against the rules, but I am also having this problem. However, when I go on the website to try to get the drivers, nothing comes up. I've done exactly what you've guys said, but I see no list of drivers. Can anybody give more insight on this? If it means anything, I've got the GT60 DominatorPro 3K-475
