I've had this issue with my MSI laptop a couple of times but it's always fixed itself.

Last year I noticed that the laptop wouldn't go on if I didn't leave the AC plugged in over night. The battery would discharge and then not turn on.

If I left the AC in for a while the laptop would eventually recharge and turn on.

This time, I've left it plugged in for 24 hours and still nothing. I've tired different batteries and AC cables to no avail. I've tried to power button hold down decharge trick and nothing

A blue charging light flickered once when I tried a different battery but it also died.

Any suggestions?

Hi

I got of some sort similar problem with yours.
My MSI laptop would die after a few minutes on AC power only without the battery.
There is no problem with power if it is on battery only.
I guess it is on my charger port or motherboard is the problem.
My charger is now dead by the way. I guess because of the bad port.
I used another charger to test it without the battery.
Lucky for me i got the battery charged in full before i got this problem.
It is an old FX400
