MTP doesn't work on Android 4.1.1

Hi everyone,

I have 2 ICS 4.1.1 devices: a Galaxy Nexus and a Transformer Prime. I am unable to get the MTP protocol for USB file transfer working. With either device plugged in, and in the device manager, I should see a "Portable Devices" device, but I don't. The device charges but nothing happens on the computer.

This is an issue on both my Windows 7 desktop and the Windows 8 laptop. Any ideas?

If you have Android OS version 4.1.1 you have the new Jelly Bean OS. The ICS version of the OS is 4.0.

You should recheck your version to make sure since sometimes new upgrades can happen automaticly.

Dessert name aside... the tablet's running 4.1.1 and the phone is 4.2.2 (just updated recently and forgot about it so thanks for reminding me).
