I know it isn't possible to connect one device to multiple bluetooth speakers, but I couldn't find the reason for this. Could this be worked around by having a middle man device which has multiple bluetooth adaptors, which the sender connects to and it essentially splits the signal into each speaker. Is there any other, easier way to work around it, or is it a hardware limitation of Bluetooth.
Thanks in advance for your help!

A Bluetooth transmitter can "pair" with multiple devices, but it can only actively be streaming audio to a single device at a time. In other words, multiple headphones would require multiple transmitters or, theoretically, a single device containing multiple transmitters. Then you would need to pair each Bluetooth headphone with its own unique transmitter.
Even if you use multiple bluetooth transmitters, the units trying to pair up would get horribly confused, and end up in a big mess!

As you say; it is indeed a limitation of the Bluetooth technology

Hope this may help!
