Laptop charger port may be bad?

It could be the port, or it could be the charger cord itself. I would suggest, before you go off and replace the port (or have it replaced) that you try another charger cord. And try your cord on another device as well.

If the other cord works well on your device, then it isn't the port. If it doesn't work or works the same (wiggle required) then it is the port.

the charger end is worn mine does it to the end get warm & soften at time & distort not letting it sit properly & charge mines the same

If it is overheating and making it warm at the end that goes into the laptop, but no where else on the charger cord, then I would look into having the port replaced.
