My canon camera is poping up with memory card locked when it's not.

My canon camera has been popping up with memory card locked when I've checked it several times and nothing works. I've tried a different memory card doesn't work either.

If card is definitely not locked with slider-switch on card, it can be caused by dirty contacts inside the card-slot and/or dirty contacts on the card.

Smear the contacts on the card with a small amount of hand cleanser, then insert & eject it several times in the slot.

try to reinsert card in the camera card slot after doing camera restart once , it might fix the issue as it is temporary issue that you are facing.

if not the stick may be going bad. may be time to replace it.

Had same problem - finally cleared by using small shaver brush to clean card slot and blow out dust (although no dust evident!).
