my computer was turned off for a month and will not turn on

My desktop computer was stored in my closet for a month after I moved. I bought a new monitor and tried to boot it up and it won't turn on. Remember it was inactive for over a month. The monitor is lit and the speakers light is blinking but the cpu won't power up.

there is a power switch on the back of most power supplies turn it on

how old was the pc before it was turned off if it was a few years old it may have a weak cmos battery. I would open the case with the power off and check to make sure all the ram and video card and cables are connected. sometime you can move a pc and you can bump the ram and or video card out of there slots.
