My DVD player is hook up and but not in color ?

My panasonic dvd player is hooked up & playing but not in color ?email answer to [don't post your email address on the forum]

Some TVs have a shared component video (3 RCA) and composite video (1 RCA) input. If you connect the DVD with composite to the input when it is set for component you get a black & white picture. There will be a place to change to composite in the TV menu if this is the problem.
