My Hp 15 r-204ne is taking up too much ram..!!!

My Hp 15 r-204ne is taking up too much ram (62%) while i am just running google chrome. How can i reduce my memory usage? My CPU usage is 34%. Even though i installed a new Window 8.1 a day back to get rid of this problem but still the problem persists. Thanks.
