My laptop battery died and Toshiba discontinued the 9-cell model.

So how am I supposed to get a replacement for this?

I'll try calling Toshiba's technical support - the battery should still be under warranty but I'm not entirely sure if I can get a replacement or not.

Are there any good third party batteries I can try that are like the AC adapter I use? Or do I still need the Toshiba one?

It's nice to know that site exists but I don't see my particular model number listed (A500-ST6622). I'm going to try contacting Toshiba to see if I can get a replacement.

you can look up on batterypower.co under the battery type if the model no has not yet been listed. The battery is PA3534U-1BRS if my info is correct.
