My laptop came with a 7 Amp 125V charger plug. Can I use a 10 Amp 260V plug instead?

The reason I am asking is because the charger cord that came with my Dell laptop is very short. I have another one that I used for my much older laptop, but looking at the numbers I see they are very different and assume that I shouldn't use it, but I don't know.
