If this is a laptop, some models have a wifi switch, you might have accidently turned it off.

Is the computer a desktop or laptop, what OS version is it, if it is not a laptop with built in wifi, what wifi adapter are you using, have you tried to connect to other people's wifi networks, have you connected to your network with a different wifi device?
