My nextbook ares 8 won't turn on. I have tried pressing the volume up key then the power key and holding but no luck.

My nextbook ares 8 tablet is fully charged but will not turn on. I have tried pressing the volume up key then the power key and holding for 7 seconds as recommended but nothing has happened. Can I boot it from a computer ?
