My PC freezes after exiting new games - Please help!
Every time I exit a new game the PC freezes shortly after. I would play the game for some time, everything works perfectly fine, but shortly after I close the game the PC freezes all of the sudden and I can't open any programs or interact with anything and “Ctrl-Alt-Delete” does nothing. I must restart the PC to be able to do anything again. It has been a problem from day 1, since I builded my PC a month ago, and the PC is build with brand new components. The PC does not freeze after exiting old games as "Baldurs Gate Enhanced Edition" (2012) or "Magic Duels" (2015) It freezes after exiting "CS - Global Offensive" and "Battlefield V" (2018) and Tomb Raitor (2018). I hope you can help me!

I have tried the following:
  • I installed the newest drivers using the "AMD Driver Auto-Detect Toll"
  • Running the game in "windowed mode", instead of running it in "full-screen"
  • I have played the games in 60 hz and 75 hz with the same result.

Can it be a Windows 10 Fullscreen Games Issue, because I use a widescreen monitor? The GPU and CPU temp are ok.

My system is:
Monitor (Widescreen): LG 29WK600 (60-75 HZ)
I have windows 10 pro installed on ssd
Motherboard: Asus Tuf Gaming x570-plus wifi
GPU: AMD Radeon rx 5700 powercolor red dragon 8gb
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800x
Water cooling fan: NZXT Kraken X62
CASE: NZXT H500
Ram: 2 x 16GB G.Skill Trident Z 3600 DDR4
Storage: 1TB m.2 SSD
Power: Seasonic Focus plus 850 Gold

all power cables are connected correctly? GPU, motherboard

check the event viewer of windows for errors

check the memory by running memtest.org usb autoinstaller (bootable USB flash drive)

Hey Helpstar!
Thanks you so much for your respons and help! <3

  • BIOS: I Updated the BIOS from version: 1005 (12.08.2019) to version: 1405 (26.11.2019) but nothing changed
  • Overclocked: Nothing is overclocked
  • Clean boot (solution): I could with a "Clean boot" determine a background program was interfering with my pc/game. I was the "Origin" program, where i launch Battlefield V, and I found a forum with people who had the same problem: https://forums.battlefield.com/en-u...ed-game-crashing-to-desktop-after-patch-today.

Update: The PC froze again. I tried to run a "Clean boot" without Bullguard antivirus interfering. It seems to have fixed the problem. I will try to uninstall Bullguard and get Avast antivirus instead.
