my samsung galaxy is not detecting my pics on computer. It says there are no pics on this device!! I dont have an SD card on

Hi Tom. I am having trouble uploading my pics from my Galaxy4 to my PC. My computer recognizes the device, but when I click the import photos option the PC says there are no pics on my phone! They are on the phone I promise you! :) Why would this be??
